How to Tap

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), also known as tapping, is a gentle mind-body practice that combines focused awareness with tapping on specific acupressure points on the body.

To begin, bring your attention to a thought, feeling, memory, or emotion you would like to release or soothe. While focusing on this experience, gently tap with your fingertips (one or two - it doesn't matter) on a sequence of points including the side of the hand, eyebrow, side of the eye, under the eye, under the nose, chin, collarbone, and under the arm or thymus area.
You can use both hands or one - whatever feels comfortable for you.

As you tap, you repeat calming statements or affirmations that help acknowledge how you feel while creating a sense of safety, acceptance, and emotional release.

There is no “perfect” way to tap — simply follow along, breathe deeply, and allow your body to respond in its own time.
